"Liposuction": sweet guitar, but for the love of pete, where're the castanets coming from? Kevin, don't tell me you couldn't do a little on-camera castanetwork and sing at the same time. Ah, whatever, I can't pretend I don't love you anyway. Just not quite as much as if you played an instrument like the other hunky KITH. Erm. Minus Scott too then. (does he ever perform, musically that is, on the show? have I just forgotten?)
And another another thing: Darill's oompah band. We hear synthesizer sax(?) and plucked banjo(?) as well as the tuba and tambourine. Where'z the visuals? I feel so betrayed. The faith this show puts in its audience as musicians, man, it's all over the map. Again, maybe it's part of Bruce's campaign to madden us all and then very expensively therapize us back to sweet, IV-I sanity. Pretty dastardly if true, Mr. McCulloch.

Either I'd forgotten this stirring sketch, or, more likely, I never really knew it.
This man is a music therapist now? After tormenting us all with "Can you dig it?", maybe MT is his penance.

Danny Elfman, "The Little Things" |

Hey, because it was there and it called to me. It's just about the only way I can write these days--just letting it happen.
Note: This is very much an R-rated movie, with the sex and the expletives and the shootings of people in the brain. The language in the recap, parody, whatever you want to call it, is going to reflect that (and trust me, this is the mild version). Also, Wanted is the kind of movie where half the charm of it is in the novelty of the visuals and some really funny surprises, so I'm... actually going to leave several good moments out. Believe me, there's plenty left over. Just--go see it. It's outrageous and stupid and funny and knows it, unlike some movies I could name COUGHTHEHAPPENINGCOUGH. ( So why, exactly, do you take orders from a magic loom? )

Did I miss the first episode of the new season, or is the first one tomorrow (Tuesday July 1)?

Right now I'm watching "The Wrong Guy", and I absolutely LOVE this movie. It's been awhile since I watched it, and there are quite a few things I'm noticing. There are a few very subtle KITH references in it.
There is a scene in the movie where Dave is arguing with Jennifer Tilly about a word he is thinking of and it reminds me so much of the Citizen Kane sketch. The quote is copied from imdb. Decide for yourself!
Nelson Hibbert: Something happened to me back there with that gun pointed to my head. I had... um... I had a uh... Lynn Holden: An epiphany? Nelson Hibbert: No, no. It was more like a realization but on a grand scale... Lynn Holden: An epiphany! Nelson Hibbert: No, it had like religious proportions to it... Lynn Holden: You're describing an epiphany... Nelson Hibbert: But whatever it was, it made me realize how shallow my life has been...
Also, I am watching the movie with the commentary on and they are discussing Kevins cameo in the movie and apparently Mark was supposed to make a cameo but it got cut out of the movie.
Oh! And there is a part where Daves character is on a train and on the train are boxes of canned ham. The names on the boxes of ham are Thompson canned ham! :P Though, Dave says in the commentary that it's not an intentional reference to Scott Thompson.
If you haven't seen this movie. I seriously suggest you do :D

Ok, it is WAY hard to find decent pics of the Kids! Does anyone have any good quality, big (or big-ish) pics of Buddy Cole and/or Simon and Heccubus?
I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
